The Practice SAT/ACT Test gives students the chance to build confidence and endurance in test-taking abilities while experiencing the actual test-taking scenario. Saturday, September 12, the CHS Career Center and CHS Academic Booster Club are offering a Practice SAT/ACT test to students in the CHS Cafeteria. Students should arrive by 8:40 am to check in. They need to bring two #2 pencils and an approved calculator (TI-83 or 84 are approved along with scientific calculators; TI-89 are not approved). The test will begin promptly at 9:00 am. Late arrivals will be seated but not given extra time. Food and drink are not permitted during the test, though we recommend bringing a snack for test breaks.
When you take a Practice SAT/ACT, scores are NOT sent to the College Board. Students alone receive the scores. This type of practice test will help you decide whether you need to take a prep course before you take the real SAT or ACT, and it will help students decide which of the two tests might be better for his/her test-taking style.
The cost for this Practice SAT/ACT experience is $10 and must be paid to Mrs. Ingui by September 9. The maximum number of students who can participate is 100, so sign up early to guarantee a spot. Please take advantage of this great test exercise!
